It is not often enough that we hear people say, “Thank God for who I am”. Most of the time we hear people say how they wish they had what someone else has or they wish they had the abilities of someone else, etc… Quite often, we tend to forget that God has made each of us to serve a purpose that he has already outlined. As people are blessed with certain materialistic items or monetary value, they too forget the purpose God has for them. Recently, at Flavor Fest in Tampa, FL someone said, “I Thank God for allowing me to be me so that I can minister to others. It is a wonderful thing that God is using me as a vessel to spread his word, and I am truly thankful.” This stems back to my favorite quote of The Bible; and not just thanking God for the things he has done for you but for also allowing him to use you to magnify his name, to praise his name, and to spread his word. I thank God for being who I am and I work diligently to praise him just so he can show me a small amount of Grace. —-A. Lewis
New International Version (NIV)
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
